Some people suffer from an unusual allergy called allergic conjunctivitis. This causes people to sneeze without warning when they step outside during daylight hours, or stare up at the sun, even though they are perfectly healthy. Allergic conjunctivitis is a reaction to the ultraviolet portion of the sun's spectrum. It causes the lower eyelid to become inflamed. Doctors typically recommend wearing sunglasses and taking antihistamines if you suffer from this unusual phenomenon.
