Moonbows
category: Thack Facts

August 22, 2008

Sometimes when the moon is bright, its light can be reflected and refracted to produce a colored bow known as a moonbow.  Moonbows differ from rainbows because their colors are less intense.  While moonbows can be seen anywhere, they are most common around tropical areas where evening rainshowers and partly cloudy skies occur more frequently.
