In an area that just cannot seem to catch a break, more tornadoes ripped through areas of the Midwest last night leaving a path of death and destruction. All in all, 57 tornadoes were reported in association with a frontal system that could bring some severe weather to our area during the day Saturday. Take a look at yesterday's storm reports released from the Storm Prediction Center.

The tornadoes hammered portions of Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa beginning yesterday afternoon and lasting through the nighttime hours. The intense storms dropped hail and smacked the region with high winds and intense lightning. Several areas still remain under flood warnings thanks to the heavy rains that also accompanied these storms. Cars were tossed about like children's toys and entire communities were devastated. While I do not expect anything this intense to fire up here tomorrow, be on the lookout for some strong to severe thunderstorms. We could see some heavy rain, strong winds, and maybe even hail in some spots.
