While things are rather hectic in the StormTrak Center this afternoon, I wanted to write a brief update about what we can expect heading into the weekend. The good news is that the flood watch was dropped this morning and the total amount of precipitation with this storm system looks to be well below what the models were thinking yesterday. All in all, it was still an ugly day and a washout for many outdoor plans. Tomorrow doesn't look quite as bad with highs in the upper 60s and the sunshine breaking through at times. However, the shower threat still remains for the early part of the day. A weak upper level disturbance will try and bring a few showers into the Midstate tomorrow morning. They will not be heavy or widespread, but I can't rule them completely out of the picture. At this point, Mother's Day looks to be mostly dry and nice with temperatures returning to near 70 degrees before another rain event arrives overnight Sunday and continues throughout the day on Monday. Temperatures by Monday will return back to the upper 50s...ewww! For all the very latest on the weekend forecast, join me tomorrow morning on abc27 News Saturday Morning starting at 9:00AM! See you then!
