State police said alcohol and speed may have contributed to a single-vehicle crash that seriously injured an 18-year-old Harrisburg man Friday morning. Charges are expected against Joshua D. Frye, who was flown by helicopter to Penn State Hershey Medical Center after the crash on Fishing Creek Valley Road. He is listed in critical condition.
Police said just before 4:00 a.m., Frye attempted to negotiate a curve at a high rate of speed and lost control. His car struck a tree and a utility pole.

Frye was trapped in his vehicle for more than an hour while emergency crews attempted to free him from the badly-damaged vehicle.
Police believe he was not wearing a seatbelt.
