Carlisle, Pa. - Jenna Keller said she heard two gunshots.
When she finally reached her fiancee's side, she said blood was everywhere.
"He wanted me to lay down with him...and he told me he was dying," she said.
Wednedsay Keller testified against Vincent Flemister, the man accused of shooting her fiancee, Bryan Newell.
She detailed what happened the afternoon of December 29th, while fighting tears.
She said she and Newell were not supposed to be at their North College Street home in Carlisle, but stopped there so Newell could pick up some clothes for work.
She testified she and Newell were sitting in the living room, and Newell's step-brother, Warren Dowling was upstairs.
She said Dowling's friend, Andres Rodriguez let himself in the back door and went up to Dowling's room. A few minutes later, she said a man wearing a bandana across his face came through the back door and demanded money.
She said the man had a gun, and grabbed her.
"He had the back of my neck and then he pointed the gun at my head," Keller testified. "Bryan grabbed a hold of him...I heard two gunshots."
Keller said she ran upstairs, and found Rodriguez "panicking."
When she went back downstairs, she found her future husband laying "helpless."
"He said the only reason why he did it is because he loves me and he didn't want me to get hurt," she said.
When asked if she knew who shot her fiancee, she turned and pointed at Flemister. "Right there," she said.
After that testimony, a judge ruled there is enough evidence to send Flemister to trial on attempted homicide charges.
Police say the incident was a botched robbery, and that Dowling, an accused drug dealer, was the intended target. Rodriguez is also accused of attempted murder. Police say he and Flemister planned the home invasion together.
Rodriguez waived his preliminary hearing and was prepared to testify against Flemister, according to his attorney.
Karl Rominger said his client never wanted anyone to get hurt, and has cooperated with authorities.
"Had the young lady who testified not been able to get out the entire story because of memory or emotion, he was ready willing and able to be called to the stand," Rominger said. "He's as horrified and shocked by this incident as she (Keller) was."
Prosecutors say Keller's testimony was convincing.
"She remembers that face, she remembers Vincent Flemister," said prosecutor Jon Birbek. "She knows he's the man that shot her fiancee."
On the stand, Keller said Newell's spine was severed by the bullet. She said he is paralyzed and doctors have said the paralysis will be permanent.
Rodriguez and Flemister remain behind bars on $250,000 bail.
