Lower Paxton Township, Pa. - A robbery suspect was arrested at a Harrisburg area shopping mall this morning after customers and employees cornered him in a department store changing room, according to police.
Lower Paxton Township Police say Scott R. Warren Jr. was wearing a ski mask when he forcibly grabbed a bag of cash from a fast food restaurant worker who was walking to the Colonial Park Mall to make a bank deposit for her employer.
While fleeing, Warren slipped and fell in the mall parking lot, according to police. A witness then began chasing him and was able to recover the bag of money, police said.
Police say Warren ran into the Bon-Ton department store where he was cornered by workers and shoppers. Police found him hiding in a changing room.
Warren will be charged with robbery. Police say he's also facing drug charges for a bag of marijuana found in his pockets.
Police say without the assistance of citizens willing to get involved, the case would have been very difficult to solve.
