Smash and Grab at Lebanon Valley College

Twenty-one cars of Lebanon Valley College students were smashed up early Wednesday. Items inside were stolen. But the person responsible was caught in the act.
At Lebanon Valley College on Wednesday, some students had the nasty chore of scraping ice of their car windows. But at least they had car windows.
Alicia Drass, an LVC Sophomore, was a victim of a vandal. A window of her car was smashed in.
"A friend of mine came up to me and said, ‘I'm sorry about your car. Did you hear about it'", she explained.
As you looked closer at some piles of ice, you could also see shards of glass.
Drass showed us the inside of her car, "There's a lot of glass on the passenger seat and on the front on the floor and along the side and under the seat."
State Police say around 3:30 Wednesday morning, a man went through the Arnold's Sports Center parking lot. He smashed window after window. He hit a a total of 21 cars and nd stole items from inside. A Lebanon Valley College spokesperson said nine cars were hit last week, so the campus was on alert.
Tom Hanrahan, Director of College Relations, told us, "Housekeepers actually saw a suspicious looking person when they came out on break and our Public Safety was warned. As soon as they started hearing broken glass, they responded and apprehended the suspect."
As police take a look at surveillance footage, students take a look at the mess left behind and plan the cleanup.
Drass remarked, "I'm not very happy about it, obviously, because now I have to worry about calling my insurance company and trying to get it repaired."
The alleged vandal faces charges. Twenty-three-year-old David Goodman-Hlavaty is charged with theft, trespassing and other charges.
