The 2008 Saab 9-3 Aero Sport sedan certainly lives up to its name in the looks department. With more aggressive front end styling than last year, the Aero wears its laser red paint well. Talk about a world car - the 9-3 is assembled in Sweden with parts from Germany, Australia and Japan.
While Saab is keeping up with the competition on the outside, inside is another story. The 9-3 dashboard is a trip back to the 80's. The cupholder is cool though, and the glove box is roomy. Saab's silly key location between the front seats remains.

The 9-3's two-toned leather seats are comfortable and the six-speed automatic works well. Back seat legroom in the Swede is tight, but headroom is good. The safety seat latch system worked well.
Saabs have always had generous trunk space and this one is roomy too. With a 255 horsepower turbocharged V6, there's plenty of sport in this sport sedan.
The handling is good for a high-horsepower front-wheel drive car and road noise is acceptable. The Aero package includes a firmer suspension, special wheels and high intensity headlights. Average fuel economy is about 22 miles per gallon.
As equipped, our test Saab 9-3 Aero Sport sticker price is $36,715. That's a lot of money in the very competitive sports sedan market segment.
