lebanon, Pa. - Crews have been working non-stop in Lebanon as they clean up the big mess left over from the weekend snow storm. Now, the city is making plans to clean up yet again before the week is out.
For most of Monday, a snow emergency remained in effect. Cars were moved from emergency routes. Parking lots filled up quickly and many drivers struggled to find a parking spot.
The snow storm taxed everyone's patience and the city's budget. "I mean, 14 inches, that's quite an amount and it really taxed our workers," Lebanon Mayor Sherry Capello said.
Residents were still having a tough time getting around on Monday. Patches of ice remained on many side streets.
"I slipped a little bit in different areas, finding some patches of snow that weren't plowed," April Anderson of Lebanon said.
City officials said it's unclear how the snow removal will cost. Capello said the highway department is currently focused on the clean-up.
