A Newville couple was arrested Monday afternoon, and charged with a string of sex crimes, including the rape of a child. The accused are Kenneth Clark, 37, and his wife, Nichole Rowe, 20. Police say Clark and Rowe engaged in sexual acts with a young neighbor, from the time she was 11.
Both are being held in the Cumberland County Prison under $500,000 bail.

Police were alerted to the situation in September. Court documents say the girl's mother found a cell phone, that did not belong to her daughter. When a friend looked through the phone, she found photos of the couple and the girl engaged in a sex act, according to court records.
When Clark was confronted, he allegedly deleted the photos, and told police they just depicted himself and Rowe.
The girl's mother says the arrests couldn't come soon enough. "It was just day to day stress having to know where my child was," she said. "I stood at the neighbor's and I watched them be cuffed and put in that car."
The mother says she trusted Clark and Rowe. "By no means did I think this was going on, and the whole time I was putting her in harm's way," she said.
One of Clark's relatives told abc27 the charges are "bogus."
