Seniors from Carlisle High School, Boiling Springs High School and the Carlisle Action Senior Center tested their bowl skills in a Wii video game tournament.

The computer game system replaces 12 pound bowling balls with half pound game controllers that follow the actions of the gamers hand.

Those motions then are projected onto a screen simulating a bowling alley. For senior citizens, the Wii competition is a fun way to get exercise.

The high school youngsters find the elderly competitive and enjoyable company.

This is the first bowling competition between the schools and senior center, but it won't be the last.

The Carlisle High School Honor Society won the bowling match and is expected to defend its victory with a rematch.
