Police arrested an Ephrata man Thursday night on accusations he was running around the inside of a Manheim Township restaurant and spitting at customers.
David Ecenrode, 45, of Ephrata was cited with disorderly conduct for the incident at the Chuck E. Cheese in the 2000 block of Fruitville Pike.
Customers reported the Ecenrode was shouting, "I have hepatitis C." Police have not yet confirmed whether Ecenrode has hepatitis C.
Restaurant management decided to close the restaurant after the incident, which occurred at 7:43 p.m., as a precautionary measure. Customers were asked to wash with soap and water.
Police said there were no reports of anyone have direct contact with Ecenrode, who was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
