Pottsville, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania man who had two teenagers' bodies in his basement for more than two weeks was sentenced to two life terms after pleading no contest to all charges against him.
The bodies of 19-year-old Joshua Yevak of Pottsville and 17-year-old Cayla Turner of Port Carbon were found March 20, 2008, in the Pottsville home of 54-year-old Norman Nickle.
Nickle pleaded no contest Monday to two counts of criminal homicide and several other crimes. He offered no explanation for his actions other than to say he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of the killings, which prosecutors said happened March 4, 2008.
