Sadsbury Township, Pa. - Two Pennsylvania State Police officers were involved in a crash in Lancaster County on Sunday night. The two vehicle accident happened around 11 p.m. on Route 41 at Sadsbury Avenue, in Sadsbury Township.

According to a news release, Tprs. William Vanorden and John Sromovsky were responding to an incident with their lights and siren activated. Vanorden was driving on Route 41. The report indicates that the troopers were in the midst of overtaking a red Chevrolet Monte Carlo driver by Frederick Keys, of Christiana.

Police say that as Keys made a left turn onto Sadsbury Avenue, Keys' driver's side collided with the passenger side of the patrol car. The Monte Carlo struck a guardrail. The police cruiser crashed through a guardrail, went airborne and rolled onto its side.

Keys was taken to Lancaster General hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The troopers were taken to Brandywine Hospital, where they were treated and released.
