Middlesex Township, Pa. - A Perry County man is accused of leading police on a high-speed chase with his six-month old daughter and her mother in the car.
Police said Jeremy Miller, 27, of Landisburg, was clocked at 60 miles per hour in a 45 mile-per-hour zone in Middlesex Township, Cumberland County at around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police said Miller passed another vehicle in a no passing zone and nearly caused a crash. When an officer activated his lights and sirens, police said Miller tried to flee at speeds of up to 80 miles-per-hour.
The officer ended the pursuit, but saw Miller spin out and pulled next to his vehicle. Miller ran from the scene, but was apprehended, police said. The infant was in a child safety seat.
Miller was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment, fleeing and eluding police and numerous traffic violations. He told police he ran because his driver's license was suspended, according to a news release.
