A kitchen employee at the state prison in Huntingdon is jailed on charges that he possessed heroin and marijuana that he allegedly planned to smuggle into an inmate.
Twenty-one-year-old Mark Alan Frehn, of Three Springs, was arrested Wednesday in the parking lot of a shopping center in Smithfield Township.
Huntingdon County District Attorney George Zanic says Frehn was arrested as part of an undercover investigation into drug trafficking at the State Correctional Institution-Huntingdon. Frehn had just received three ounces of heroin and five pounds of marijuana from an undercover officer when he was arrested.
It's not clear if he has an attorney.
Zanic says investigators expect to make more arrests soon.
