A water main break that occurred Sunday morning in Susquehanna Township has interrupted water service to certain customers in the area of Linglestown Road.

The break happened around 7:30am at 2400 Linglestown Road.  United Water officials say maintenance crews are working to repair the main.  This work will leave approximately 100 customers without water for several hours.

Several hundred customers in Susquehanna Township and Lower Paxton Township will also experience low water pressure for several hours.

United Water is requesting that all customers in Susquehanna Township and Lower Paxton Township temporarily conserve water throughout the day and until the water main is fixed.

An alternate supply of water is available for affected customers at a shopping plaza located at 2040 Linglestown Road and at the Holly Hills subdivision.  Customers should bring clean containers to fill.

United Water hopes to repair the break and restore service sometime Sunday evening.

Once the break is fixed, residents who were without water will have to boil their water until further notice.  Customers effected by the boil water advisory have been notified by United Water.  Customers who only experienced low pressure do not need to boil their water.

For more information, customers can call (717) 564-3662 or visit United Water's website at www.unitedwater.com.
