The 2008 Tour of Pennsylvania will bring 120 cyclists along with a caravan of police, press, and team vehicles as the race proceeds from Camp Hill to Bedford on Thursday.

Motorists are asked to be aware of possible delays when traveling in the area, and to use caution when passing riders.

The third stage of the race will begin Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Highmark Headquarters at 1800 Center Street in Camp Hill.

The race course will enter Route 11/15 south to Trindle Road and make a sprint back to Carlisle, reaching the borough between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m.

In Carlisle, the race route will follow Route 11 south to Chambersburg, where the riders should arrive between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. From Chambersburg, the cyclists will follow Route 30 west to Bedford.

Road closures should be anticipated in Shippensburg and Chambersburg after 12:00 noon.

The final stage of the Tour of Pennsylvania will end in Pittsburgh on Sunday. For more information, visit www.tourofpa.com.
