Police are investigating a possible attempted child abduction that occurred in Carlisle on Thursday.

A 12-year-old girl reported that she was riding her bicycle on Armstrong Road when she was approached by a white male in a vehicle, according to police.

She said the man told her he was lost and needed help finding the Carlisle Industrial Pool. The girl told police she fled the area on her bicycle.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Donegal Drive at approximately 4:27 p.m.

The man was described as a white male in his late 20s, with a medium build, facial stubble, and ear-length brown curly hair. Police have released a composite sketch based on the girl's description so that someone may be able to identify him.

He was said to be wearing dark blue or black swim trunks with a white draw string and a blue baseball cap with a red liner. His vehicle was described as a white four-door sedan.
