Mount Joy Township, Pa. - Last summer, signs appeared on the Gosselin's Mount Joy Township lawn warning the curious to stay away. Now a sign says, "For Sale." There are no more squealing little ones. There is much less traffic.

"There was a lot of extra people around all of time, either camera crews or fans that found out where the house was," said next door neighbor Chelsea Holsopple. "People that would park along the streets to take photographs."

The now famous "Jon and Kate Plus 8" house is in the Westbrooke development outside of Elizabethtown. According to Lancaster County records, the Gosselins purchased it in March 2006 for $280,000. Soon, things became hectic when TLC launched a reality show about the bunch.

"It was a lot faster pace," said Courtney Bentz who lives across the street. "Because obviously, they had TV crews here all the time."

Last Fall, the Gosselins moved to Berks County. The 2900 square foot, five bedroom, two-and-a-half bath, brick, Cape Cod is now on the market for $325,000.

Realtor John Smith is not the listing agent for the Gosselin house. He does sell homes in the Westbrooke neighborhood.

"The price range of homes in this neighborhood range from $250,000 approximately to somewhere in the low to mid 300's," said Smith.

Smith showed the home to one family and said it has been been listed for about three months.

"In the Elizabethtown school district, the average time to sell a home now is 91 days," said Smith.

Neighbors we talked with did not seem to mind having the family there.

"Jon was really friendly," said Bentz. "Kate was always busy so she really didn't talk to anyone."

Neighbors also said they enjoy the neighborhood post-Gosselins.

"I was glad for the quiet that followed," said Holsopple.

It appears the Gosselins might have had reasons to leave. According to police, last May Jon Gosselin complained about people taking photos of his home and about signs stolen from his yard. A few months later, he reported the house had been egged. Just before the family left, police said Jon Gosselin told them someone slashed his vehicle's tires.
