Spring Grove, Pa. - Police have filed charges against two students at a York County high school who are accused of deflating the tires on 44 buses.
Eighteen-year-olds Corey Kopp, of Thomasville, and Cody Lauchman, of Spring Grove, face charges of criminal mischief. Both teens are seniors at Spring Grove High School.
Police said the two on Sunday entered the parking lot of Reliance Motor Coach - which provides transportation to the Spring Grove School District - and removed the valve stems from the tires, making all but five buses inoperable. The entire school district was forced to delay classes by two hours on Monday.
Police said the costs of the incident are still being tallied, but are at least several thousand dollars. The teens were identified as suspects by people in the community and school district personnel, police said.
