York, Pa. - The York Revolution split a doubleheader with Long Island, winning the first game, 5-0, and taking a loss in the second, 10-3, Saturday.
Starter Dan Foli earned his first win of the season in the first game by pitching eight scoreless innings.
Luis Taveras backed up Foli offensively, smacking a two-run double in the sixth to give the Revs a 4-0 lead. Matt Esquivel scored on a throwing error in the second, Jeff Eure brought home a run on a fielder’s choice, and Colin Roberson’s sacrifice fly rounded out the scoring.
In the nightcap, York started the scoring with Matt Rogelstad’s two-run single in the first, but the Ducks took off in the fifth - scoring five runs on seven hits. Long Island plated two more in the both the seventh and the eighth, and
Estee Harris blasted a solo homer in the ninth.
The Revs plated one in the bottom of the ninth on Josh Johnson's RBI single.
