New Bloomfield, Pa. - A sentencing date has been set for a former police officer found guilty of molesting or propositioning more than a dozen underage girls.
Robert Pavlovich is scheduled in court July 1, according to Perry County District Attorney Chad Chenot.
The former Marysville police officer was convicted in October on 15 of 24 counts; including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault on a child, and corruption of minors.
He has remained free on bail while his lawyers refuted findings by the state sexual offenders assessment board, which determines whether convicted sex offenders are required to register as a sexually violent predator.
One of his accusers testified that when she was 13 years old, Pavlovich repeatedly tried to convince her to sneak out to meet him at night. Another said Pavlovich had sex with her on her 16th birthday while she was drunk and passed out.
