Harrisburg, Pa. - PennDOT says it will close part of Lower Allen Drive in Cumberland County over the weekend as part of the US 15 / PA 581 Reconstruction Project.
The roadway between Simpson Ferry Road and Gettysburg Road will be closed Friday beginning at 9 p.m. and will be reopened by 5 a.m. Monday, according to a PennDOT news release.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured and one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Simpson Ferry Road and Gettysburg Road.
The detour routes are as follows:
Simpson Ferry Road Eastbound Detour - Continue on Simpson Ferry Road Eastbound. Turn right onto Gettysburg Road. End detour at Lower Allen Drive.
Simpson Ferry Road Westbound Detour - Continue on Simpson Ferry Road Westbound. Turn left onto St. Johns Road. Turn left onto Gettysburg Road. End detour at Lower Allen Drive.
Gettysburg Road Eastbound Detour - Continue on Gettysburg Road Eastbound. Turn right onto Hartzdale Drive. Turn right onto Slate Hill Road. Turn right onto Gettysburg Road. Turn left onto St. Johns Road. Turn right onto Simpson Ferry Road. End detour at Lower Allen Drive.
Gettysburg Road Westbound Detour - Continue on Gettysburg Road Westbound. Turn right onto St. Johns Road. Turn right onto Simpson Ferry Road. End detour at Lower Allen Drive.
