Lancaster, Pa. - Prosecutors say a Lancaster County man and his son were growing marijuana in their home.
Joseph W. Brinton, 53, and Tyler J. Brinton, 20, were arrested Friday after a police search of their home, at 51 Clearfield Road in New Providence.
According to a news release from District Attorney Craig Stedman, 44 grams of marijuana was found in Joseph Brinton's bedroom and 242 grams of pot was found in the bedroom of Tyler Brinton. Eleven marijuana plants were found in the kitchen along with growing equipment, the release states.
Police also found marijuana growing equipment in the bedroom of Tyler Brinton and a minor, who faces charges in juvenile court.
Joseph Brinton was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy. Tyler Brinton was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy. Both were committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Stedman said while detectives were searching the residence, several individuals came to the home to obtain marijuana. Additional charges are pending.
