Mount Joy, Pa. - A Lancaster County neighborhood has proved to be a winner. The group 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania named Mount Joy's Florin Hill development as the best example of smart growth in Pennsylvania.
Florin Hill is a mixed-use neighborhood with single homes, townhouses, apartments and office and retail space. The award honored Florin Hill for improving life for residents, employers, employees and visitors. It was developed by Charter Homes & Neighborhoods.
In a press release, Rob Bowman, Charter Homes President said, "Having Florin Hill recognized as a real example of what's possible in the future for how our communities and state can grow is exciting for us. It is well-deserved recognition for all the people who worked to make Florin Hill happen, including those who now call Florin Hill home."
