Lancaster, Pa. - A Lancaster County woman stole money from a restaurant tip jar and assaulted a female employee who confronted her, according to police.
Lancaster City police arrested Natalie Smarsh, 36, of Ronks, on a robbery charge in connection with the Saturday night incident at Captain Gus’s Steak House, at 600 West Orange Street.
Police said Smarsh took the money from a tip jar on the counter and then bit and scratched the woman who tried to stop her. The employee sustained minor injuries to her right arm.
Police said a total of $8.00 was stolen from the tip jar. The money was recovered.
She was arraigned and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $15,000.00 bail.
