Steelton, Pa. - A number of residents of Steelton are upset over the behavior of teens and young adults in their neighborhoods. The residents say the young people are making their lives miserable.
Those residents came to borough hall Tuesday night to talk with government leaders about finding a solution to the problem. Borough council president Jeffery Wright called the special meeting after getting a number of calls from residents.
Residents say that the kids use drugs in the street, they litter, vandalize, keep them awake at night and generally treat people with no respect.
Wright said that the borough could beef up police patrols but that would be money that would come from the taxpayers. There were a number of folks that came forward with possible solutions. Most of them centered on giving the young people more to do.
