New Britain, Conn. - The Harrisburg Senators gave up seven runs in the second inning in a 8-5 loss to the New Britain Rock Cats Thursday night.
Harrisburg starter Carlos Martinez retired the first two batters of the inning, but with one out remaining walked Juan Portes and gave up a two-run homer to Matt Moses. Yancarlos Ortiz and Danny Lehmann singled, and Martinez hit Brandon Roberts with a pitch to load the bases for Rene Tosoni, who drove all runners home with a double. Brian Dinkelman capped off the inning with a two-run homer.
Ofilio Castro put Harrisburg on the board with a two-run double, and Harrisburg trailed 6-3 after four innings. Marvin Lowrance added an RBI single and Castro scored on a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth.
