Mackereth Pulls Out of November Election

State Representative Bev Mackereth announced Tuesday she will be withdrawing her name from the November General Election ballot.
Mackereth, a Republican representing the 196th District in York County, said she is taking a job as executive director of the York County Human Service Department.
Mackereth served four terms in the State House. She will step down at the end of the legislative session November 30.
The 196th District consists of Dover, New Salem, Spring Grove, and Wellsville boroughs, as well as Dover, Heidelberg, Jackson, North Codorus, Paradise, Warrington, and West Manchester townships.
