Police in Cumberland County are investigating another report of a man approaching children in the Carlisle area - the fourth such incident in a week.
The latest incident was reported Tuesday afternoon in North Middleton Township. Police said a 10-year-old boy reported he was walking to a home in the 800 block of West North Street when a man motioned for him to come to his vehicle.
The boy immediately went home and told his parents what had happened, police said. He described the man as a white male in his 40's. He was said to be driving a small bright red car.
North Middleton Township police said they do not know if this incident is connected to three similar reports in Carlisle borough, but have not ruled it out.
Carlisle police said a man tried to abduct a 12-year-old girl Thursday at the intersection of Donegal Drive and Armstrong Road. On Friday, police said he exposed himself to a girl at the corner of Franklin and C Streets. On Monday, he was seen driving around nude and tried to engage a girl at the intersection of Carlisle and G Streets, according to police.
In each of the Carlisle incidents, he asked the girls for directions, police said.
The man in the Carlisle incidents was described as a white male, about 25 to 35 years old, with brown curly hair and stubble on his face. He was said to be driving an older model white boxy car, possibly a 4-door sedan.
Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call North Middletown Township Police at 243-7910 or Carlisle Police at 243-5252.
