The woman is one of two people involved in a scheme where the suspects attempt to return merchandise to area supermarkets. The merchandise being returned - usually hams and battery-powered toothbrushes - is actually stolen from the store, according to police.
So far, the two suspects have received more than $1,150.
Police said they have already identified one of the suspects and want to hear from anyone who may know the whereabouts of the female accomplice.
Anyone with information is asked to call Middletown Police at (717) 948-3000.
