Police Search for Man who Assaulted Trooper

Police are looking for a man who assaulted a state police trooper on Sunday night.
According to police, Trooper Matthew Hudak of the Pennsylvania State Police Chambersburg station stopped 45-year-old Jerry Lee Ott of Shippensburg for traffic violations on Route 81 N. After Ott stopped his vehicle, he fled on foot and struck Hudak in the head during the pursuit.
Ott fled the scene and was unable to be located. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Chambersburg State Police at (717) 264-5161.
