Police arrested a man accused in a robbery attempt in the 200 block of Hamilton Street Thursday evening, according to a news release from Harrisburg Mayor Stephen Reed.
Carrol W. Pendleton, 51, of no fixed address, was charged with robbery, resisting arrest and possession of instruments of a crime.
Pendleton is accused of trying to steal items from a convenience store and attempting to assault the store owner as he fled, according to Reed.
Police said Pendleton was holding a box cutter when officers arrived and was immediately ordered to drop the knife and get on the ground. When he began to walk away, he was apprehended by a police K9, Reed said.
