Ed Ward would love to have the past year and a half to do all over again. Early last year, he started having stomach pains. Turns out, he had colon cancer. It's been a fight every day since.
"I'm going under chemo, no radiation, every two weeks," Ward said.
For two days after the chemotherapy treatments, Ward wears a pump that leaves him feeling sick most of the time.
His house might not be the best place for Ward, or anyone for that matter. The problems started in the bathroom with a leaky shower he tried to fix himself. The toilet started leaking and the shower is now covered with black mold.
Between a plumbing estimate and an estimate to get rid of the mold, the cost is just too much for Ward to handle. He's on disability.
If you can help Ward with the plumbing issues and the mold problems, call the United Way at (717) 724-4078.
