Escaped Inmate Captured in Harrisburg

A Dauphin County Prison inmate on a work detail stole an SUV and escaped this morning before being captured by police a short time later.
Terry Diggs, 36, made the break from the Dauphin Highlands Golf Course in Swatara Township at approximately 9:45 a.m., according to spokesperson Diane McNaughton. Police arrested him in the Hall Manor area of Harrisburg.
Diggs was committed to the prison in January. He was serving a 9 to 23 month sentence for possession on drug charges.
