Harrisburg, Pa. - Harrisburg Police have arrested two men accused in an armed robbery and carjacking on Wednesday.
Frederick M. Sawyer, 20, of no fixed address, and Freddie Jones, 24, of the 1200 block of Oyler Road, face charges including robbery, conspiracy and robbery of a motor vehicle. Sawyer faces additional charges of burglary, escape and firearms violations.
The robbery occurred at around 2 a.m. in the 400 block of South 14th Street. The two victims were sitting in a car when the suspects pulled a handgun and demanded they get out, according to Harrisburg Mayor Stephen Reed. They took personal property from each of the victims before fleeing; one in the car and the other on foot, Reed said.
The victims were not harmed.
