Lower Swatara Township, Pa. - State police are investigating a motorcycle crash which killed a man in Dauphin County early this morning.
Donald Mummert, 27, of Steelton, apparently lost control and struck a curb while traveling northbound on Eisenhower Boulevard in Lower Swatara Township, according to police. He was pronounced dead at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Police said Mummert was wearing a helmet. They believe speed may have contributed to the crash.
The crash caused the closure of Eisenhower Boulevard, from the Pennsylvania Turnpike to 2nd Street in Highspire, for several hours.
