Lower Paxton Township, Pa. - Two pieces of heavy construction equipment valued at more than $144,000 were stolen from a work site in Dauphin County over the weekend, according to police.
Lower Paxton Township police said the Caterpillar trackhoe and a John Deere backhoe were taken from the Monticello Heights townhouse development construction site on Crums Mill Road.
The theft is the second such incident in a month. A Caterpillar dozer, loader and compactor were stolen from the new Bumble Bee Hollow construction site in Upper Allen Township, Cumberland County on June 10, according to police. The three pieces of construction equipment were valued at more than $300,000.
