Mount Wolf, Pa. - Bella is a handful, but in a good way. The German shepherd-boxer mix is Kyle and Holly Eaton's pride and joy.
But a few weeks ago, Bella got more antsy than usual when there were fireworks at nearby Rudy Park in York County.
"She was outside with me," Kyle Eaton said. "Holly walked out to watch the fireworks. That quick, she took off. We yelled for her, searched for her."
The Eaton's have an invisible fence, which was on - but that didn't matter. Bella ran right through it and didn't come back.
"I was very upset," Holly Eaton said. "I think I cried all night."
But hope was not lost. A friend told Kyle and Holly about a Web site called Findtoto.com. For a fee, it vows to do its best to help find your pet.
"They call 500 of your neighbors in such a radius," Kyle Eaton said. "We figured we'd better give it a shot."
The first call from Findtoto.com went out at 10 a.m. that Sunday.
"At 10:11we got our first phone call saying they actually saw her heading up toward the Pleasureville area, up Sherman Street," Kyle Eaton said.
Two more calls and an hour later Bella was found ten miles from home; just about where that first call said she was.
"I was speechless," Kyle Eaton said. "As hurt as her paws were, she still tried to walk over to me and give me kisses like she does when I come home from work."
The Eaton's say Bella's going to need more training on the invisible fence, more leash time and, from now on, absolutely no more fireworks.
