Pittsburgh (AP) - A Pittsburgh-area man could spend up to 11 years in prison after pleading guilty to his ninth and 10th drunken driving offenses.
Fifty-four-year-old John Joseph, of McKeesport, was saying he was trying to turn his life around when Allegheny County Judge David Cashman interrupted Joseph Wednesday, saying, "You had 10 chances."
Joseph's attorney says he'll appeal because Cashman gave Joseph consecutive sentences meaning he'll spend 5½ to 11 years in prison, instead of concurrent sentences.
Joseph was arrested twice last year in Glassport. He was drunk during a traffic stop in March and refused a blood-alcohol test - resulting in the drunken driving charge - when he ran a stop sign in June.
