Two Florida men have been extradited to Pennsylvania to face charges in connection with the burglary of a Dauphin County jewelry store, according to Lower Paxton Township police.
Antonio Garcia and Jose Rodriguez, both of Miami, were arrested in South Carolina on June 11 when a search of their vehicle uncovered hundreds of pieces of jewelry belonging to GM Jewelers in the 4700 block of Jonestown Road, according to police.
Lower Paxton Police said earlier that day, someone had cut a hole through the roof of the business and used a torch-type cutting device to cut open a safe. Various jewelry with an estimated value of between $150,000 and $200,000 had been removed from the safe, according to police.
Garcia and Rodriguez were committed to Dauphin County Prison on charges of burglary, theft and conspiracy. Bail was set at $500,000 each.
