Unfortunately bad things often happen to good people. Many times they fall victim to a financial scam that costs them hard-earned money. That's what apparently happened to a local woman a few weeks ago.

A Harrisburg lady we'll call "Ann" answered an e-mail add offering a loan. The loan was being offered by a Diamond Financial Services--the Malaysian branch.

Ann applied for $5,000 and says she was told that to complete the loan process she would have to wire the bank $384 in processing costs. That she did, but when the time came that she was supposed to receive the money, it did not come.

"When I didn't get it," she said. "I was instantly ill. Because that's when I knew I was scammed. I had a headache. I was nauseated."

Still Ann can not help but think of others. She says she doubts she'll ever get the money back, but she wanted to tell her story in the hopes that it could prevent someone else from getting scammed.

I don't know this lady, but she really wasn't thinking too clearly or she is very, very trusting. In most cases any processing fees are rolled into the loan, that way they can collect interest on it along with the loan principle.
Like noname and the old saying says, "if it sounds too good to be true ... It Is".  ...  Stay away from it.
