A 15-year-old Shrewsbury Township boy is facing charges for stabbing a 19-year-old man in the back during an altercation outside a convenience store.
Southern York County Regional Police said Michael Horn, of Shrewsbury, was stabbed twice in the parking lot of the Rutter's Farm Store on Main Street in Shrewsbury just before 7:00 Tuesday night.
"Our victim did try to fight him off and there was an altercation," Chief James Childs said. "The victim, after being stabbed, was placed back into his car and driven to the York Hospital by his friends."
Childs said the 15-year-old ran from the scene and was taken into custody at his home a short time later.
There are at least two surveillance cameras outside the store. Police are reviewing the videotapes to see if the crime was caught on camera.
The name of the 15-year-old is not being released. He is a student at Susquehannock High School.
He was arraigned as an adult and released on $10,000 bail.
Horn was listed in stable condition.
