A retired pastor from Allentown is accused of using the Internet to sexually proposition a 15-year-old Montgomery County girl, according to state Attorney General Tom Corbett.
Paul A. Marmon, 62, is accused of posing as a 19-year-old boy in chat rooms to contact the girl. He also left presents for her at a park near her home, asked her if he could purchase special underwear for her and requested nude photos and underwear belonging to the girl, according to Corbett.
Corbett said the girl became suspicious after speaking with Marmon on the phone and told her parents, who notified police. An undercover agent then assumed the girl's Internet profile and agreed to leave items for Marmon at the park.
Marmon was arrested as he left the park with the items placed there by the agent, according to Corbett. He was placed in the Montgomery County prison in lieu of $1,000,000 cash bail.
