Lancaster, Pa. - State police say a Lancaster County man struck a woman with a baseball bat as she slept.

Calvin B. Lynch, 31, of Gordonville, was arrested Sunday in connection with the incident in the 200 block of Maple Street in Leacock Township. The 29-year-old victim was in a domestic relationship with Lynch, according to police.

Police say the woman reported she was asleep Saturday morning and was awakened by Lynch after being struck multiple times in the head and arm. She sustained a fractured elbow and multiple lacerations as a result of the attack, police said.

Police say the victim reported she was then choked until unconscious and, after coming to, was unlawfully restrained in her bedroom under the threat of further abuse for several hours.

Lynch fled the residence but was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, reckless endangerment, and possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He was placed in Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
