Hit and Run Leaves Harrisburg Man Critically Injured

Alcohol may be what caused a late night hit and run that leaves one person in the hospital and three others in jail. Susquehanna Township Police say around ten Friday night, a van hit a motorcycle at the intersection of Progress Avenue and Viewmore street in Dauphin County.

The driver of the motorcycle is in very critical condition at Hershey Medical Center.

abc27 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?Police found the van that allegedly hit Larry Cowden in the 1000 block of South Progress.

Witnesses say they saw people running from the van.
Police were able to track down two people.

They say alcohol was definitely a factor for the driver and passengers of the van.

Three people are in custody and Susquehanna Police are still investigating the crash.

It will be interesting to see if the drunk driver gets only 48 hours in jail, as the prison attorney got when he was dui hit-and-run with injury.
