Direct TV and Dish Network Users Will be Ready for DTV

Harrisburg, Pa. - If you use a satellite and failed the recent Digital TV test, don't worry. Some satellite providers are broadcasting in analog now, but by law, they have to make the digital switch in February.
Some are broadcasting both signals on two different channels, and it's possible people were watching the wrong one during the test.
DirecTV released a statement saying the Harrisburg area is scheduled to undergo the digital switch the week of December 15, 2008. DirecTV has been transitioning two markets a week since March and say they are on schedule.
The actual transition night is usually Wednesday night into Thursday morning. DirecTV customers will be digital ready by December 19, 2008. If you any questions call DirecTV at (800) 601-5170.
Dish Network says their customers will be digital ready by February 17, 2008. If you have any questions, call Dish Network at 1-866-508-8954.
