According to Tracy Panzer, district spokeswoman, a police canine unit was inside the school for an hour and 45 minutes on a drug sweep. The search was in conjunction with the Cumberland County Drug Task Force and Silver Spring Township Police.
The district said the canine unit did have "hits." A hit could be the scent or location of drugs, but the district would not give specifics as to what was found.
Earlier this month, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Mary Riley said there has been an issue with drug use and possession among students on school property.
